Do you offer assisted living?

No, Our Wellness Center is open to the public and designed especially – though not exclusively – for seniors. We offer memberships to adults 55 years of age or older.

What is an Eden Associate?

Many of Shalom Park staff go through Eden Alternative training to become Eden Associates. Eden Associates are dedicated to transforming the organizational culture of nursing homes. The Eden Alternative supports moving away from a top-down bureaucratic management; instead the Eden Alternative focus on moving decision-making closer to the Elders/residents.

Do I have to be Jewish to live at Shalom Park?

No, we welcome individuals of any faith, race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

I’m moving in to Shalom Park Nursing Home, what should I bring?

In addition to clothing, residents often bring personal items such as pictures, accent furniture, phone, television and decorations. Shalom Park provides phone and television service.

Each room is furnished with a n adjustable bed, dresser, 2 armoires, and a nightstand.

What kind of Care Partners are employed at Shalom Park?

Our Care Partners are comprised of individuals dedicated to the overall well-being of the Elders. We employ Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurses Assistants, Dietitians, Social Workers, Activity Coordinators, Housekeepers, as well as Therapists specializing in Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies.

Do you have a secured unit?

No, we do not have a secured unit.

Who does the resident’s laundry?

Shalom Park Care Partners wash each Elders laundry weekly.

How many Elders live at the Shalom Park Nursing Home?

Our community has 135 beds on three separate neighborhoods/floors. Each neighborhood has its own dining areas.

Yes, Kosher meals are available to residents who request them
